Born and raised in Philadelphia, the youngest of nine, Lisa Jeanette took to timesharing her siblings’ guitars. Her high school orchestra instrument, the double bass, led her to Temple University, where she studied with Henry Scott, bassist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, and earned a Bachelor’s of Music in Performance. Lisa Jeanette’s songwriting influences include Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Billy Joel, Elton John, Harry Chapin, Cat Stevens, Fleetwood Mac, and Genesis.
